Don’t you want to see someone healed? What about sharing what God told you, and a life is changed? Where is the power of God today?
I think about these things, and so should you. Either Jesus Christ is alive and well, and we are called to be like Him, or this whole thing has been watered down and the church is just trying to be ‘good people’.
It would be totally unfair for Jesus to call us to ‘be like Him’, if the power was relegated to only a certain time in history, or just a select ‘special’ few today. I think we are supposed to walk in the love and power of Jesus Christ, as He demonstrated as an example for us to follow.
We are on a journey here, learning to walk in the Kingdom of Heaven on earth, and we are seeing God do some amazing things.
Listen to some messages online, then come join us on a Sunday morning and discover what you were made for.
When you arrive on a Sunday morning you will find very friendly people, lively worship, biblical teaching, and the Presence of God.
We like good music like anyone else, but we choose worship songs that are about Him and our relationship with Him. Our worship contains the philosophy that there is an Audience of One. His name is God. You might hear songs by Jesus Culture, Bethel (Redding, CA), United/Hillsong, IHOP, Matt Redman, MorningStar Ministries or something similar.
The messages you will hear are almost always a part of some series. You can go to the MP3 Gallery to hear a message and get a feel for a Sunday morning teaching, or just show up.
One of the best expressions of the love and ministry of God is through his people, the Church. We have weekly small groups that gather in homes to read and discuss the Scriptures, share about our walk with God, and simply have a good time…together! Also, every Sunday we offer appetizers to encourage fellowship ‘after church’.
The best part of living after Jesus, is that we have His Presence in our lives! Jesus said, ‘where you go, there I am.’ Moses said it is ‘Your Presence’ that distinguishes us from all other people. (And that was before the Holy Spirit lived in His people!) If we are to know Jesus, than that means we will be experiencing His nature and His presence. CS Lewis said it so well, “To enjoy God is to glorify Him.”
It’s not what you think! Part of who we are and what we do is like any church. Jesus Christ said of his cousin, John the Baptist, that he was ‘burning and shining’. (John 5:35) That about sums it up. We ‘get’ to follow the example of Jesus and let God love through us to the world. We are all encouraged to touch those around us throughout our day as the Holy Spirit leads. Also, we engage the community as opportunities are prayed through and presented.
