When you arrive on a Sunday morning for our 10:30am service, you will find very friendly people, contemporary worship, teaching from the Bible that is relevant, and the Presence of God.
Our Worship
Our worship contains the philosophy that there is an Audience of One. His name is God. It is He who we worship and not ourselves. We like good music like anyone else, but we choose worship songs that are about Him and our relationship with Him. That seems to be the most satisfying anyway! You might hear Hillsong, Matt Redman, Chris Tomlin, Brian and Jenn Johnson, or MorningStar Ministries or something similar.
Our Teaching
The messages you will hear are almost always apart of some series. They're usually 3-6 weeks long and are easy to relate to. We say the teaching is relevant, because the Bible is relevant to our life, our context, and our culture. You can go to the MP3 Gallery to hear a sermon to get a feel for a Sunday morning teaching.
Our Fellowship
One of the best expressions of the love and ministry of God is through his people, the Church. We have weekly small groups that gather in homes to read and discuss the Scriptures, share about our walk with God, and simply have a good time...together! Also, every Sunday we have a offer appetizers after service.
His Presence
The best part of living after Jesus, is that we have His Presence in our lives! Jesus said, 'where you go, there I am.' Moses said it is 'Your Presence' that distinguishes us from all other people. (And that was before the Holy Spirit lived in His people!) If we are to know Jesus, than that means we will be experiencing His nature and His presence. CS Lewis said it so well, "To enjoy God is to glorify Him."
Our Presence
It's not what you think! Part of who we are and what we do is like any church. We have to show our light to others. We try to make it our business to reach those outside of the church walls. We are all encouraged to touch those around us through out our day as the Holy Spirit leads. Also, we get into the community through volunteering at the FCAA Soup Kitchen, ministering in the Detention Center, and as opportunities are prayed through and presented.
The best way to know our church is to simply come and be our guest for a few sundays. Blessings!
